1750 router

we have two FXS voice interface cards in 1750 router and use 4 RJ 11 cables connect between FXS and Lucent PBX. Soemtimes, I have problem that after I dial phone number, and then give me back a "dial tone". Do you guys know what reason cause this problem and how to slove it.

Try disabling DID (direct-inward-dial) if supported by the card. I think when you pick up the phone, the PBX gives you dial tone. Then, when you dial, the access server gives you dial tone again (because DID is enabled).

Hi Charles,

"DID (dirext-inward-dial) disable" is a default setting in 1750 router. Therefore, I think disabling DID is not a solution. Do u have another idea??

Anyway, I am really appreicated it.
