we have two FXS voice interface cards in 1750 router and use 4 RJ 11 cables connect between FXS and Lucent PBX. Soemtimes, I have problem that after I dial phone number, and then give me back a "dial tone". Do you guys know what reason cause this problem and how to slove it.
Try disabling DID (direct-inward-dial) if supported by the card. I think when you pick up the phone, the PBX gives you dial tone. Then, when you dial, the access server gives you dial tone again (because DID is enabled).
