2 lines auto answer

Hello, I hope this is a simple question. We have some phones with two seperate lines on them. The primary extention and a secondary shared extention. If the secondary extention rings, the user would like to be able to pick up the phone, but not have it automatically answer the second extention, they would like to have to press the button to answer the secondary extention. Is this possible? We are on Callmanager 4.13, I've disabled autoanswer feature, but this does not seem to do anything. Thanks

Re: 2 lines auto answer

Try this,

Cisco Callmanager -> Service -> Service parameters.

"Always use prime line" set this to true.

Are your extensions on two different partitions and have line 1 roll over to line 2 when line 1 is busy ?

You should be able to enable AA on line 1 and AA disabled on line 2. Make sure you reset the phone after you make the changes.

Re: 2 lines auto answer

Hello Thanks for your reply.

Both lines are on the same partition. I've tried one line autoanswer the other disabled, but no luck. When the call comes in, the display says who is calling on which line, but once you pick up the receiver, it answers the ringing line automatically. It doesn't just default to line 1, the main line if the secondary line is ringing.
