I noticed there is win-OS-Upgrade-K9.2000-4-1sr4.exe
Service Release 4 for MCS platforms using OS 2000.4.1 downloadable from CCO. I don't know what this for. I always know Cisco has OS with 2000-2-X, never see 2000-4. Thanks for any feedback.

Its currently only for the new 7825's.
You won't be able to use it on any of the older MCS servers, you get it based on if you have an HP or IBM MCS and the disc only has the files for that one 7825.

Does this service release address the HP G3 driver issue?

What g3 server issue are you attempting to address?

The new HP 7825 G3 servers have a so called raid driver issue, which somehow causes MGCP endpoints and phones to drop registration. The un-official fix is to reduce the time-out value for phones and to use H.323 rather than MGCP for gateways. However there is suppose to be a replace driver in QA testing which is due to be released in the next SR. Until that time 4.1 media has been placed on new product hold leaving 7825 G3 deployments on hold. The OS 4.1 media is required to support this server due to the lack of SATA drivers in the 2.x OS media.

Does the OS 4.1 SR4 address the HP 7825 G3 driver issues?

The SATA driver issues for 7825s running 2000.4.x can be fixed using the new software patch that came out today.
HP-SATADriver-6.0.82.exe
SATA Driver correction for MCS-7825-H1-IPC1 (only) running 2000.4.1, 2000.4.1sr1, 2000.4.1sr2, 2000.4.1sr3, or 2000.4.1sr4. This corrected driver will be include in the impending Service Release (2000.4.1sr5) and OS Upgrade (2000.4.2).
