We are thinking about adding HDV-T1 into the existing 2610 to turn it into PSTN gateway. I've seen someone in this forum has implemented such config already. Could you share what the loading looks like in terms of cpu / memory utilization against voip load ? thanks
With a dual port T1 card, the most calls you will pass is 48. The router will easily pass this number of calls across the WAN/LAN interfaces. You should have 16 meg of flash and 64meg of DRAM to take advantage of current or future software features. You may also want to consider the new AIM-voice-30 card and single port T1VWIC combination. This allows you to put the T1 voice port into the WIC slots and then frees up the Network Module slot for other applications.
