2651XM AIM-voice30 and MN-1V compatibilities

hi all

i've got a 2651XM bundle (with AIM-voice30),i need to install a vic-2BRI.

Do i need a nm-1V or can i install it on wic location?

can i install a vic-fxs and a vic-2bri without nm-2V in wic location?

in other words do i need nm (hdv,1or2v) if an aim voice is in my 2651?

if i have a wic-bri ,a wic-1T in my 2651XM can i install vic-2bri in a NM-1V and use 4 voice channels (2 with nm,2 with AIM)(nm1V support only 2 channels)

You can not install the VIC2BRI into a wic slot, the reason is that there is no DSP's on the main router board.

The VIC2BRI needs to be installed into the NM-2V which has four DSP. Remember that each BRI supports 2 64Kb channels therefore you will need four DSP's.

So an NM-2V can support one VIC2BRI, four FXS or Four FXO

An NM-1V will only have 2 DSP's and will only support two FXS or two FXO

I think there is an NM-2VE which has six DSP's, I will have to see if this product exist's.

As i said i've got a aim voice 30 dsp in my 2651

so my questions are still valid

in fact i have not yet this 2651 but i plane to buy it so i can't test the config.

The AIM-VOICE-30 only supports the VWIC cards such as the VWIC-1MFT-E1.

To use any of the VIC-2BRI cards you'll need an NM-1V or NM-2V. Note that the NM-1V will only allow you to use a single BRI port on the VIC-2BRI as it only has enough DSPs for two calls.

The new VIC2-2BRI cards need the NM-HD cards like the NM-HD-2V.
