We're doing the above and moving to new hardware. I'm hearing the only way to do this is to build 3.1(5) on the new hardware, export the db from the old box and import it to the new, then upgrade to 4.0(3). Anybody want to verify this? Any gotchas/pointers? thanks!
Yes, that's your best option - the DiRT backup and restore requires the same version be installed when you restore as when you backed up (i.e. you can't restore and upgrade and migrate all in one snappy step).
