3640 as DSP resource

Can a 3640 router with a NM-HDV-FARM-C36 module be used as a conferencing/transcoding resource for CallManager? If so, how would the router need to be configured and is there any special software required to support it? I know the VG200 requires a special image, but I was not sure about the 3640.

The router is currently configured as an MGCP gateway with several FXS ports.

From what I can see in the literature, you’ll need a VG200 for conferencing/transcoding support.

No, you would have to get a VG200. They are fairly inexpensive, and you can simply use your (expensive) NM-HDV module in the VG200.
