3640 as RAS

I would like to setup a router Cisco 3640 equiped with 8 x BRI and MICA-6DM as a RAS for support ISDN and analogs (POTS) calls.

I'm running 12.3(19) image

Any example config would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

RAS?

Dial-up or VoIP?

Re: 3640 as RAS

Hi Teodoro,

I would like to use them for dial-up.

Thanks in advance

Re: 3640 as RAS

There is nothing different in configuring dial-up on 3640 or 53xx :)

Configure ppp authentication, the async group and radius (or tacacs+) authentication.

But anyway, here is an example document:

Re: 3640 as RAS

Thanks a lot Teodor,

I managed to setup a running cfg for ISDN and POTs as well but still on problems with when the call is initiated by some PC on boards modems. TRAINUP takes too long time and fails. From a V32bis (9600/9600) works well

This is my config

Since you do not value the helping hand, you do not deserve it. But it is not your fault, indeed. Your parents are to blame.

Bye.
