Is the e1 split? Do you have channelized ports on it as well as TDM ports?

Re: 3640 problem with voice

Dear Don,

I suposse one 3640 is handling only the voice as a voice-gateway and the other 3640 forward data and voz. See diagram:

IP/PVN ------------------3640-A------------------3640-B----------------PBX

WAN LAN E1

Follow this recomendations:

Try to change the version of the router by 121-5.T9, and evaluate the process.

Try to change the E1 module sometimes this is the problem.

Trie to connect the chassis of 3640 and PBX.

You must use only one static route between 3640-A and 3640-B such as:

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 ip-address of the ethernet interface of 3640-A.

Luck.
