i have a problem with a cisco router 3845,it uses this version "c3845-spservicesk9-mz.124-6.T.bin", its only function is for transcoding for a callmanager, every once that the router sent these messages:

i cant use resources for transcoding and i cant see the running-config when i use "sho run", we have to restart the router.

this is the memory for the router when appears the error:

GW_XCODER#sh memory summary

does anyone know a issue about this version with this problem??

Re: 3845 transcoding error??

Traceback's are usually caused by software issues (bugs) but you also have memory problems, so they could be side effect of that.

Use the output intreperter tool and paste in a 'show stack', and 'show align', 'show ver', 'show memory', and 'show process cpu' from time of the problem before reboot and the errors above and see what it comes up with.

I did some bug searches on bug toolkit and didn't come up with a hit on above. Is there anything in logs before that first malloc error?

Re: 3845 transcoding error??

The issue is that your router is out of memory. Note the free bytes are only 10 MB!!! The largest allocatable block is 44 KB!!! You need more memory in the router or a smaller feature set. Why SP Services vs IP Voice?
