7911G Messages Button

Hi,

We have a 'Msgs' softkey button on our phone using the built-in Standard User template; however, it's not there when I configure the device settings on CCM.

This investigation started b/c the button does not work, i.e. it will not access the VM pilot on Unity. Any ideas?

First step should be to verify you have the correct voicemail profile selected under the phones directory number configuration. If that is set to none it is possible that the messages key would not work. If you have the correct voicemail profile selected be sure the voicemail profile is assocatied with the correct voicemail pilot. If the profile is associated with a valid voicemail pilot number then try dialing the pilot number directly from the phone and see if the call reaches Unity.

Hi,

The phone can certainly call the pilot number directly - tried that and it works.

Very frustratimg :)

Just upgraded Unity to 4.2.1 and that button works.
