7912 and voice quality

I am wondering what DSP model IP phone 7912 is using. When a call is made using g711, voice quality is lower than 7940/60 and when g729a codec is use, voice quality is bad.

I guess its not the problem with the DSP , the 7912 firmware have some bugs , upgrading with latest firmware would solve your problem.
