I have issues regarding garbled characters on my 7914's. Each of my 7960 has 2 7914's. I have inline power from the switches. For this exercise, 2 out of 3 7960's have garbled chars on their 7914s. (both 7914's exhibit problems) I've read that it only requires 1 power cube to power both 7914's. Will it be a problem if I have a power cube on each of my 7914? Thanks.

I remember having the same problem after upgrade to 3.2 a while ago.
Can you confirm if the firmware versions you are currently running are the following:
S00103020001 for 7914 and
P00303030000 for 7960.
If so please do the following:
1) Change the locale of the 7960 to something other than the default.
2) Reset the phone for the new locale settings to take effect.
3) Change the locale of the 7960 back to the default.
4) Reset the phone for the correct locale settings to take effect.

Dear marinaibm,
Your old suggestion, dated to Dec 26, 2003 and what applies to Call Manager 3.2 still applies till today.
After upgrading CCM 3.3.3 to CCM 3.3.4, the speed dials on one of the expansion modules no longer displayed the text labels. They only displayed the numbers. The speed dial as a function still worked, but the numbers were being displayed and not the text label associated with it. I followed your suggestion of changing the locale, and the problem was resolved.
(You'd think such problems would be solved from one CCM release to the other).
Thanx...
