7960/40 Microphone capabilities

I have many users that have been using their 7960/40's as conference phones. Many complaints have now arisen that participants, that sit across a room from the phone, cannot be heard. I have several 7935's already setup that are available for their use in real conference rooms. What I need is a document that I can show these users that defines either the distance limitations or just the capabilities of the speakerphone option of the phone. Does anyone have a link or some info that I can pass along?
