We have proven that in our Cluster the date/time comes from the Active CM. Has anyone set-up their CMs to use a network time server and thus whichever CM is Active the date/time will be the same on all phones?

Thank you,

Erik.

I have my Unity, IVR, IPCC, and all three call managers using NTP sync time services. All the phones and computers display the same time.

CallManager

1. If the NetworkTimeProtocol is not installed on CM browse to:

C:\>cd C:\Program Files\Cisco\Xntp

run install.bat

2. Ensure the NetworkTimeProtocol Service is set to Automatic

3. Configure the C:\WINNT\ntp.conf

server x.x.x.x

driftfile %windir%\ntp.drift

4. Make sure NetworkTimeProtocol Service is stopped

5. Manually update CM - C:\Program Files\Cisco\Xntp\ntpdate x.x.x.x

6. Start the NetworkTimeProtocol Service

7. Configure the Voice Gateways for NTP:

Voice Gateway IOS Devices

clock timezone CST -6

clock summer-time CST recurring

ntp server x.x.x.x

Non IOS Voice GatewaysCatOS Devices
