Has anyone had this problem? Phones at the site local to our CCM work fine. But at one of our branch offices, the phone would ring sometimes and sometimes it wouldn't (no blinking LED either).
It was strange because the 7960 at the local site would work fine, but when plugged in at the remote site the problem would occur.
We put a packet sniffer on it and it appeared that the CCM would send the packet telling the phone to ring, but the phone wouldn't perform the action. It waited until the next keepalive message before it would do anything.
Weird huh? It turned out to be a firmware issue as it was fixed when we installed the latest firmware. (We were using next to the latest firmware)
We still can't figure out why the same phone would behave differently at 2 different locations while using the same firmware.
