i have a 7970 phone in my network stuck all of a sudden. i am running call manager 3.3.(3). all other phones including 7970s are working fine.
this particular phone displays, cisco logo and a check box- then stays freeze at bootup. i cant access network settings to try something. completely frozen.
i have tried to power recycle it, but result is same. i have deleted it from call manager and created another DN on this phone. bu the same

There are various known bugs with symptioms of IP Phone getting stuck . Some of these bugs are :
CSCec28460, CSCea89165, CSCeb67048, CSCed44853,CSCea60780. Most of these bugs are fixed. Please refer to the BugTool kit for each of these for workaround or resolution.

You should call TAC and get the phone replaced. I've had two DOA 7970 phones. We refer to them as the beta phones. Most of the problems have been corrected with the 6.x firmware.
