800 Numbers

This may sound basic, but I can't seem to find reference to it on CCO. Can anyone tell me how I would go about adding a single 800 number to a designated phone. I'm using CM3.22cSpG. Thanks in advance.

Re: 800 Numbers

if the 800 number is from the same carrier as you services comes in on they will probably send the call to a specfic dnis number. if the the 800 number is from a different carrier you may have to tell them to send the 800 call to a local number that you have from you local carrier. if you get the 800 service from the same carrier as you local pstn then the carrier is sending you a seperate dnis number repesenting the 800 call. so if they are send you the 0001 then create a trranslataion patteren in the call search space as you gateway for 0001 on the translate to field put in the extension number that you want the call to ring on.

hope this helps

Re: 800 Numbers

Thanks man. Got them to map it to the DN we use to call into the Unity system from outside.
