*82 private calls on CallManager 3.3(3)

I have a client that has a private line and needs to call people not accespting private calls. Ordinarily they would dial *82 to resolve this but callmanager dows not allow it. What do I do to make this work?

Re: *82 private calls on CallManager 3.3(3)

Actually you can block the caller ID selectively in CCM.

What you would want to do is create a route pattern that will match the "*82" and an appropriate digit string for a call. Set the route pattern to block the calling party presentation.

Here's an example:

Route Pattern: 9*82.@

Partition: PartitionA

Description: Block caller id

Route Filter: 10-digit Local

Gateway/RouteList: OutboundPSTN

RouteOption: Route the pattern

Calling Party Transformations

Calling Party Presentation: Restricted

Called Party Transformations

Discard Digits: PreDot

So if a user dials 9*827045551212, the route pattern will restrict the Calling Party Presentation, discard the 9*82 and pass the call to the OutboundPSTN route list.
