a timing issue?

We are using redundant CallManager with 2600s as voice gateways and 7960s for phones. If we dial outbound to another phone system with an automated call attendant we miss the first 5 - 10 seconds of the call when the attendant answers. Also most of the prompts are missed by callmanager(phone system). This happens with at least two autoated attendants that I know of. Whats up?

Hello,

My first guess would be the echo cancellation convergence on the DSP is taking time due to configuration, or software. This causes the loss of audio.

You should be running Cisco IOS version 12.1(5)T on your 2600. That should fix the problem with the delay on the audio cut-through with automated systems. Make sure you look at the 2600 memory requirements before installation.

Thanks! That fixed this problem and one other we were having with long rings.
