Accounting Problem

Hi everybody,

I've a AS5300 gateway and I'm recieving traffic(calls) from other carrier, now I'm billing that calls with the syslog but I have downloaded the acs of cisco. My problem is that I don't understand very well how to configure that acs even though I read the documentation on-line.

For example I added my gateway as a RAS client but how can I add my partner (other carrier) as a user or what I have to add in the acs ? My goal is to bill the incoming calls.

thanks

Since there has been no response to your post, it appears to be either too complex or too rare an issue for other forum members to assist you. If you don't get a suitable response to your post, you may wish to review our resources at the online Technical Assistance Center (http://www.cisco.com/tac) or speak with a TAC engineer. You can open a TAC case online at http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen

If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.

Re: Accounting Problem

Im unclear about what you are doing.

Getting accounting info, using syslog is fine. But you can also get accounting info using radius-accounting packets.

ACS should be able to get the radius just fine (I dont know about the syslog).

When you set your gateway up as a RAS, it sounds like you want to do some authentication and authorisation as well, is that the case?

You should not expect to get any information from your partners gateway, so you have to rely on your own gateway.
