Active Directory - multiple OUs

Level 1

Current scenario.

AD forest approx 250,000 users. CallManagers currently integrated into AD at OU level with 300 users in OU. We would like to integrate another OU with approx 1000 users in it to the existing CallManager cluster.

I believe this can be done by pointing the AD plugin at the root of the forest/domain.

1. If this is done, the CallManager will be searching through 250,000 users - will this cause a problem with CallManager? Performance etc

2. Is it possible to search 2 OUs within AD? and not "see" all 250,000 users?

Cheers

John

The following is the way to handle Muliple OUs. Configure the root of the organisation as a search base and then receive all the users within theAD. More generically, you can configure user base to point to common denominator of all the usersbases.

In the meantime, you can create the users from Active Directory Users & Computers, and add the Call Manager specific parameter from CCMAdmin, unless your search base is set at the level where all users actually exist.
