Ad-Hoc conferencing with CM 3.1(4b)

Currently our conference capability is 3 paricipents MAX. I need to find out if there is a way to have more than 3 participents for Ad Hoc ?

Thanks,

-Zulfi

This should be tunable in the Service Parameters for CallManager. Go to Service, Service Parameters, pick you server and go into the settings for the CallManager service. Adjust the "MaxAdHocConference" value to your taste. I'm verifying this on 3.2(3), but if memory serves, it's in the same spot in 3.1. Make sure to adjust the value on each of your CallManagers if you have a cluster.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know the limitaions of number in the settings.

What impact is it going to have on the system if we use lets say 20.

Currently we are using Hardware based Conf.

Re: Ad-Hoc conferencing with CM 3.1(4b)

All hardware conference bridges that I know of with CallManager (WS-6608, DSPfarm on IOS platforms and VG200) have a hard limitation of 6 participants per conference.

Software bridging allows more participants. I've used ten without problems; others have reported going to the default server max of 48 but I can't personally attest to that working well or not.
