We are undertaking a migration from Unity 3.02 to 4.01 (includes hardware upgrades and config updates) for a site. The aim is to maintain service of the 3.0 install and migrate services and users to the 4.0 install and hardware. All testing and planning has proven OK in the lab, but the AD schema updates for 3 and 4 are different. The release notes state -
Because attributes are added and not taken away or changed, if necessary, the 4.0(x) version of the Avdirmonex2k.ldf script can be run on networks with only Cisco Unity 3.x servers.
But does this mean that Version 3 and Version 4 boxes will happily share the same AD schema and Exchange box with users split between the two Unity servers??
