Hi There!

I have an odd situation here. I am running Unity 2.4 Build 22.214.171.124.

I am trying to add a user to the system and I go through the regular pattern. Once I select the user to be added from the exchange server (import) and then OK the dialog box when I return to the subscriber account information screen the user listed is not the one I selected.

A bit more detail:

I have a lot of other Directory Stores on the servers. All of my users are in recipients. The person Unity is resolving is not in the Recipients container but rather in another container... How do I force Unity to accept the exchange user that I originally accepted?

Anyone?

Thanks,

Michael E.

Kvaerner IT&T Group
The reason was the Unity was looking at Aliases. There was another Custom Address with a similas alias and it was resolving it before it got to my recipient. I ended up deleting the conflicting custom recipient and then re-adding them after I had the subscriber set-up. This happens here becuase we do a lot of SMTP address imports into the Global Address List from our Corporate addresses. When these addresses are imported the Alias is autogenerated. This led to the conflict.
Still kind of strange that the Import Utility on Unity uses the Alias as a selection criteria and I'd like to find out how you set the address resolution heirarchy to prevent this from happening in future.
We should be using the distinguished name, not the alias. Checked into it this morning and the alias is, indeed, being used here. This hasn't come up before (that I know of) since in most instances the aliases at the site level are uniuqe.
I've been assured that the 2.5 version will be using DNs for such references which should take care of any such issues.
The short answer is that you don't.... That isn't entirely true while at
the same time it kind of is, but for the most part you don't configure
the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
answer. Be sure to read the whole thing or e...
