Is there anyway you know of to make CallManager look at an external NTP Server - my CallManager keeps losing time?

Hello Stu,
1. Insure that NetworkTimeProtocol is running under WIN 2K service
2. In the c:\winnt\ntp.conf file enter the following:
Server A.B.C.D
Driftfile %windir%\ntp.drift
3. Stop and start the NetworkTimeProtocol service
A.B.C.D is the address of the NTP server.
Regards,
Bob

Thanks Bob, I should have mentioned, does this work if the NTP server is a piece of network equipment (CAT6K) and not another W2K server?

Hi Stu,
Yes, it will work if the NTP Server is a Network Equipment.

Cisco is using the same open source ntpd from www.ntp.org, excellent product. Search CCO for the Network Time Protocol documentation for CallManager -jason
