Adding Gatekeeper to CCM cluster

I have a Call Manager cluster running 4.1.3sr1 with a centralized dial plan. I want to be able to place video calls from Polycom VS4000 equipped conference rooms to VT-Advantage users. I need to add a Gatekeeper to do so. Can a Gatekeeper be added to my existing enviroment to just support video calling without any impact on my existing dialplan? Also looking for any links that would help explain how to configure.

Thanks!

Re: Adding Gatekeeper to CCM cluster

You're on the right path by needing to add the gatekeeper. This will however affect your dial plan in some way.

You're going to need to create a pattern(extension) for each of the H.323 video endpoints and route them across the trunk to the gatekeeper.

You're going to also need to configure the gatekeeper to route the extensions of your ip phones back to the CallManager. You may use a default prefix to simplify this configuration.

Check this doc out and let me know if you have any questions.
