Our MCS 7825-800s have been approaching full utilization of their 512MB of default memory slowly but surely as our phone count and useage has grown - does anyone know if there's a Cisco-supported part/option to take it up to 1GB of RAM - or are we stuck at 512MB of RAM on the 7825 (at least from a supported config)? (I know our new 7835-1266 is coming with 1GB which is what inspired me to look at our utilization on the 7825s...If there is - is there a part number for it?
The Cisco MCS 7825-800 Media Convergence Server was manufactured by Compaq who also sold it as the Compaq Proliant DL320. Accordingly, memory is much more easily found when searching under the Compaq Proliant server name rather than the Cisco "MCS" server name.
Thanks! Actually - I have the compaq part numbers to do it right here for the compaq version (the oem wrapper was only as deep as the Compaq DL3230 label on the box it came with :-) My only question was since it was a Cisco box officially (since I bought the MCS and not the DL320 w/3rd part CM pkg) if it would be TAC supported to add to the 512 without going through Cisco (or if it would be TAC supported to change the config on a DL320/MCS7825-800 to begin with :-)
