Address Book Syncing with Outlook

Does the Address Book sync software from Cisco work with Outlook? It only seems to connect to Outlook Express.

Thanks!

Re: Address Book Syncing with Outlook

The IP Phone Address Book Synchronizer tool can only import entries from a WAB file which Outlook Express uses to store the address book. If you want to import the address book from Outlook, you can either setup Outlook in Internet-only mode (Outlook 2000) or export the address book from Outloook to a CSV file and import the CSV to a WAB. Take a look at the following link.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Ouch, that is brutal for the non-techies like VP's and executives.... I would rather them not use the Cisco Personal Address Book..

Thanks Brandon

Re: Address Book Syncing with Outlook

I agree. Hopefully, this will be addressed in the future with a simple wizard or ideally, an automated process for Exchange/Domino users. Their contacts reside on the server, so Callmanager should be able to pull those in an automated way.

look at: http://www.voip-tools.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=35&Itemid=85

This tool performs a lookup upon your personal contacts in outlook.

The search is started from your IP Phone services menu. Its possible to search

for people by first name, last name and telephone number and it will return the

entries (if existing) for mobile, bussiness number and home phone.
