The IP Phone Address Book Synchronizer tool can only import entries from a WAB file which Outlook Express uses to store the address book. If you want to import the address book from Outlook, you can either setup Outlook in Internet-only mode (Outlook 2000) or export the address book from Outloook to a CSV file and import the CSV to a WAB. Take a look at the following link.
I agree. Hopefully, this will be addressed in the future with a simple wizard or ideally, an automated process for Exchange/Domino users. Their contacts reside on the server, so Callmanager should be able to pull those in an automated way.
