When I make a Dial-Pattern change (insert, update) all the current calls hang-up !!!
Is this a bug?
I have Call Manager 3.1(2c) installed and a Cisco3640 with a NM-HDV-30(E1) as a gateway to the PSTN.

You can work around this by creating a route group in CM, even if you only have the one gateway to the PSTN. Add your single device to the route group. Create a route list which includes your single route group. Point your dial-patterns to this new route list. Future modifications to your patterns will reset the list element rather than the physical device and should not interrupt your calls.

Bill,
The 3640 router was set-up as a H.323 gateway, not MGCP gateway. As far as I know, I can´t add any H.323 gateway to a route group.
The reason I set-up it as a H.323 gateway is due that by now, the E1 PRI R2-modified (mexico) doesn´t work with H.323
Which other solution /work around can I apply?

Tim is correct in his post below. Well worth the effort to set it up this way.

We have 20+ H323 Gateways, all are configured using route groups.
route pat --> route list --> route group --> gateway
It might seem like alot to configure for one or two gateways, but it's worth it.
