Alternate rings

I have a few users who do not have access to all of the system wide rings available. Only 2 show up. Does anyone have ideas on where the hang up might be?

Hi!

What's the CUCM version you are using and type of phone? Where do they see only 2 ring types? When selecting "Default Ring" or when selecting the line?

Keep in mind that when the user chooses a particular ring under the Default Ring, it gets applied to all the lines on the phone. Usually this option shows more ring tones. But the user can choose one of the other available ring types on any other line.

There are two XML files in Cisco CallManager that are used to display the ring types on the IP phones. The RingList.xml file has all 25 rings and is displayed when you select Default Ring. DistinctiveRingList.xml, which has seven other rings, is displayed when you select a particular line.

Have you tried resetting the phones and the TFTP server?
