We have several fax machines connected to CCM. They need a 9 for an outside line. Several times a day someone will forget the 9 so the switchboard gets constantly dialled.
Is there a way to automatically prefix the dialed number with a 9 for this group of numbers (faxes start 51**) IF it is not dialled. I would also like this to still work when the 9 is added. Any help would be much appreciated.
To match dialed digits without a 9, you will have to create 2 set of route patterns. One for people who dial without a 9 and for those people who dial with a 9. Remember, this may cause inter digit timeout issues with your internal dial plan.
[2-9]XX[2-9]XXXXXX and 1[2-9]XX[2-9]XXXXXX in partition Fax. Prefix a 9 in these patterns
9.[2-9]XX[2-9]XXXXXX and 9.1[2-9]XX[2-9]XXXXXX in partition Regular
In the fax machines (connected to ATA, vg224, vg248, router with fxs etc) , set the Css WITH partitions Fax and Regular. In regular phones, set only the Regular partition in their CSS.

the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
answer. Be sure to read the whole thing or e...
