Another upgrade question from 3.1(5) to 4.0

I have an existing server running Unity 3.1(5) with Exchange 2000 on another box. I have my upgrade disks for 4.x. I also have new hardware to install 4.x on and I want as clean a process as possible. I have gotten the registration code for a NIC in the new server for an upgrade. I thought I would install 3.1(5) on the new server, move all the subscribers/call handlers to the new server, and then upgrade to 4.x. Is this the best process?

thanks

Yeah, that will work fine and will likely be the easiest method for you in this case.

The DiRT utilities can help you get your 3.1(5) info over onto the new server. Be sure to head out and get the latest versions of both the backup and the restore apps off their home page here:

I would backup 3.1(5) with DiRT. Uninstall Unity from the current 3.1(5) server then restore to the new 3.1(5) server. Make sure to use the latest copy of DiRT and the Unity Uninstall tool. You can get them at:

Thanks,
