I know this question has been asked before but I am still unclear over a few issues. For the recovery from the Nimda Virus, the document I viewed talked about an INTERIM process. This process included scans from third-pary antivirus packages.
I know that prior to Nimda Cisco did not approve any third-party antivirus package for installation on CCM or Unity. The fact that the document says the process is interim, does that mean that the process was just to clear the virus before returning the servers to their original state?
Also, is the McAfee package the only approved antivirus?
Last I heard McAfee is the only approved antivirus. Extreeeemely annoying for a company that has a site license for market leader Norton. Why they couldn't approve more AV's a year after Nimda is a point of annoyance.
