anto answer

Has anybody uesd the auto answer feature in the CCM? It seems that it didn't work. My theory is if I turn on the auto answer in that phone, and I call that line the phone should automatically go off hook. How can I achieve this? Do i have to use IPMA in order to make it work? Thanks

That is correct. If you set a line to be auto answer, as soon as you call that line it will go off hook. Kind of like an intercom. You do not need IPMA to get this functionality.

You might want to check your setting in Service Parameters. There are three fields that I would look at:

Auto Answer Timer (default = 1 sec) and help says this is dependant on T301 timer (default 180000).

Alternate Idle Phone Auto Answer Behavior (default = false)

Override Auto Answer if Disabled Speaker (default = True)
