Hi,
we have an IP Telephony network with 2 CMs consisting a cluster. CMs run 3.1.3(a) and we have an Application Engine running on publisher (version 2.2(2)).IP Phones register to subscriber.
Sometimes users cannot use Extended Services, they cannot log in/out. They get a message "host not found" in their IP Phone display. If we stop and restart the Application Engine every works fine. The bad thing is that since we upgraded to current version of CM, this happens quite often. This did not happen with version 3.1(2)c.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Regards,
Yanna

Often times complex troubleshooting issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, its often difficult to do so for this type of issue.
To utilize the resources at our Technical Assistance Center, please visit http://www.cisco.com/tac and to open a case with one of our TAC engineers, visit http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen
If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.
Thank you for posting.

Hello,
I do not have a resolution to your problem, but I also have a problem with the Application Engine (v2.2(2)). Our auto attendant hangs and all incoming calls get a busy signal. We restart the application Engine and the AA begins functioning again. I have not found a way to get alerts that AA has failed other than the calls to my cell phone. If anyone has experienced this and knows how to resolve it I would love to hear. Callmanager Version is 3.1.(2a).
