ARE E&M TO FXS CALLS POSSIBLE?

Hi everybody,

I am trying to make a Multicard Application using E&M and FXS cards. The scheme is the following:

phone=fxs=1750=voip=2600=e&m=ATL=PBX=pbx phone.

The PBX is model is an ALCATEL 4200E and uses the e&m pbx card ATL with 2 cables.

WHAT WORKS

Inbound pbx calls from fxs phone to any pbx extension.

WHAT DO NOT RUN

Outbound pbx calls to fxs phone.

THE PROBLEM

The problem is that the router can not collect the digits we are dialing from the pbx phone. It goes off-hook but not collected and nothing arrives to the remote router.

The pbx is using the 5 TELIC STATUS protocol.

Has someone been involved in a case like that? Is it possible to made?

In other words can configure E&M without PLAR, choosing the destination in real time?

Hello Sergi, i am just wondering how do you take the e&m port?, because i am sure that it can be done. Let me explain, your users dial 9 or 0 to make a PSTN call with the PBX, so you can use another digit combination (let say 8 or 5) to take an e&m port, so the router will provide tone and then the user can dial the fxs phone number, have you tried something like that??
