Hi , We are starting up a VoIP network using AS5350 as PSTN GW and 827-4V as endpoints. Is it an option to have an AS53500 as back up in case of failure of the AS5350. Could we use the same config ?
Thanks

If your attention is to create automatic fail over from the AS5350 to As5300 please provide more information as for the call-signaling that you are using.
Assuming that you want to have AS5300 ready for case of emergency and all you have to do is to switch T1 then the answer to your question is yes,
But:
1. You have to pay attention to your IOS version; As5300 requires upgrading the Vcware DSP component in separate.
2. The controller and the Serial numbering system is different
Other then that both IOS supports the same IOS features/ commands.

Thanks a lot for your answer . We are thinking of the emergency case where we just need to move the PSTN connection to the AS5300 .
