AS5300 VoIP Dial-Peer overflow problem

Hi all,

I've got a question on my AS5300. Is it possible to configure the limitation on the no. of calls to a voip dial-peer, once it reach it's limit (let say, 23 calls) then it'll overflow to another dial-peer with another session target ip ?? Looking forward to your kind reply ! Thanks in advance !

Re: AS5300 VoIP Dial-Peer overflow problem

The command you're looking for is "max-conn".

Here's the link to the 12.2 documentation on it:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fvvfax_r/vrf_g.htm#1375153

Wierd part is, most of CCO says this command may be used to limit calls, the doc link says in the intro just calls, but the usage guidlines say its for fax-mail only. But you're free to try :)

Re: AS5300 VoIP Dial-Peer overflow problem

Yes it is using the preference command. Lower the preference, higher the priority.

dial-peer voice 3000 voip

preference 1

max-conn 4

destination-pattern 3...

session target ipv4:10.1.1.1

dial-peer voice 30001 voip

preference 2

destination-pattern 3...

session target ipv4:10.1.1.2

In the above case, first dial-peer 3000 will be used and it will send upto 4 simultaneous calls. The 5th call will be sent via dial-peer 30001
