ATA 186 Password recovery


I have bought a Cisco ATA 186 second hand. I thik it came with password because when I try to access to the voice menu options the ATA dont let me and some letters are heard. I am not subscribed to Cisco so I could not contact TAC . If somebody has any previous experience in this I would be very gratefull if could help me.

For the latest 2.x Releases..

You can not just reset the password. If the customer forgets

the password, the entire configuration must be reset. Use the

IVR to reset the box's configuration by entering 322873738#.

For older releases 1.x Releases..

Step 1 - Lift the handset and press the Function button

located on top of the Cisco ATA186.

Step 2 - Enter the IVR menu number for the parameter that

you want to configure or the command that you want

to execute; then, press the pound key (#).

In your case Reset Password = 673673263372466#

Step 3 - Follow the applicable prompts.

Step 4 - When you have finished, make sure you press 3 to

save your changes.

Step 5 - Hang up the telephone. The Cisco ATA186 resets.

The function button will fast-blink when the reset

is complete.
