Attendant Console Directory : replikate the speed-dials in the DC directory


The attendant console directory contains the information about:

-speed dials of the cisco attendant console

-positions and sizes of the different screens

Is there a way to copy this info to multiple attendants ?

We want to replikate the information entered into one Cisco Attendant Console to different Attendant Console users on a fast way.

How can I generate a user list from a different directory server? - Not sure if this is what you are looking for.

Reason: By default the Attendant Console client application shows the user list data from the file in the following order of precedence:

1. User list filename explicitly defined in the Settings->Advanced tab.

2. 'userlist\CorporateDirectory.txt' file exists on the server.

3. 'userlist\AutoGenerated.txt' file exists on the server.

The AutoGenerated.txt file is, as the name suggests, generated by the 'Cisco Telephony Call Dispatcher' service. This file is generated when any one of the following happens:

1. Service starts up (and Directory Sync Period is not equal to 0)

2. Directory Sync Period expires. Directory Sync Period value is changed from the Admin pages.

Corrective Action: You can generate the CorporateDirectory.txt file if your user list is located on a different directory server. To accomplish that do the following:

1. Open a command window on Cisco CallManager Server.

2. CD "C:\Program Files\Cisco\CallManagerAttendant\bin"

3. Execute builddir.bat

4. You will need to specify at a minimum of the first two command line parameters. Default values for the rest may or may not work for your configuration depending on how the directory is configured:

(i) -url § -searchBase

(ii) -searchFilter (default: "(objectClass=inetOrgPerson)")

(iii) -managerDN (default: "")

(iv) -managerPW (default: "")

(v) -department (default: "department") <

a. A sample command would look as follows:

(vi) builddir -url ldap:// -searchBase "ou=people,"

5. Repeat this on all the CallManager systems in the cluster.

Is there any way to replicate the Speed Dials used by the Attendant Console ?

I know how to replicate the Directory information but I would like to replicate external contacts (speed dials). If I used the Directory function to do this will Call Manager try and monitor all these entries, even if they are external? I know Call Manager cannot monitor the external lines but I am worried about any additional overhead this may have on the system if it attempts to. Especially if you wanted to import 100s of entries on your speed-dials.
