Folks,

We should upgrade the callmanager from 3.3(3) to 4.1(3) and now the attendent console has a question mark next to all the users in the directory, does someone know what it means and how to fix it?

Thanks

I just performed this upgrade myself. You will need to upgrade the attendant consoles to match the server version. You can do this by going to Help -> About Cisco CallManager Attendant Console and clicking Upgrade. It will walk you through uninstalling the current version and installing the updated version.

Brandon,

I will make sure that i grade this post.

Just curious did you run into any issues after the upgrade???

I keeo getting this error in my event log after the upgrade??

Event Type: Error

Event Source: Cisco CTIManager

Event Category: None

Event ID: 3

Date: 9/24/2005

Time: 5:52:59 PM

User: N/A

Computer: JOYCM1

Description:

Error: kCtiIncompatibleProtocolVersion - Incompatible protocol version.

Message Version: 0

Minimum Version: 60000

Current Version: 60000

CallManager Version:

IPAddress: 192.168.20.20

App ID: Cisco CTIManager

Cluster ID: JOYCM1-Cluster

Node ID: joycm1

Process ID: 824

Process Name: CtiHandler

Explanation: The JTAPI/TAPI application version is not compatible with this

version of CTIManager, so received message has been rejected.

Recommended Action: Verify correct version of application are being used;

otherwise, contact TAC..

I am still working with TAC on an issue with an IPCC upgrade that was required due to the CCM upgrade. I also ran into an issue with the JTAPI version on Personal Assistant. I was getting this exact error along with CTI ports not registering. Other than that, everything went very well. This error is due to an older JTAPI or TSP version on the machine with IP Address 192.168.20.20. Is that a workstation or a server? What application on that machine talks to CCM?
