Attendant Message

When a user greeting finishes playing the attendant always come on and says: You may record your message at the tone or you may hold for more options. Is there a way to just have the system play the user greeting then beep with no attendant. In fact I don't want them getting to the attendant at all unless they dial the attendant number.

Thanks,

Adam

that's just a system prompt being played... not sure what you mean by "the attendant". This prompt can be replaced with a snippet of silence if you really need it removed, but be aware that upgrades will replace it again so you'll need to repeat the operation.

here's a post from the 3.x forum on how to replace that specific prompt with silence (the prompt names are the same in this case between 2.x and 3.x):

I backed up all of the files, copied the file mentioned to the 2 other files and it still plays the message. The only difference I found was that the filename was AvPhGreetENU016.WAV instead of AvPhGreet016.WAV. The other file was the same way. Any additional advise?

Thanks in Advance.

I don't have a 2.4.6 system handy in front of me here, however in that directory with the prompts there is an INI file that has the file name and the full text of each prompt. You can find the one(s) you want to ditch and then copy over them with a silent prompt (you don't want to just delete them since the conversation engine will get real cranky about that).
