Authorization Codes

Does anyone know how to send an authorization code to a carrier AFTER the digits are sent on a FXS port? We are setup like this:

FAX--FXS (VG200)--IP LAN--(AS5300) PRI---PSTN

So, I have dial-peers built in the VG200 & AS5300 for incoming and outgoing faxes which work fine. However, when you dial long distance, our carrier provides a tone, at which time a 3 digit code must be entered to complete the call. Currently, the code does work from our IP Phones, just not when sending a fax. I would like to have the gateway insert a pause and then append the dialed number with a specific 3 digit code. Also, I noticed that inputting the code on the fax (you can hear the tone on the fax) doesn't work. I tried this from an analog phone on the port as well with the same result. Is there a problem of FXS ports sending more digits during call setup?

To make things harder, the dialplan should be able to tell the difference between local and long distance calls (local calls don't need the code).

Any ideas from the dialplan guru's?

Thanks,

Brent

I found the answer. Add the the line:

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

to the voip dial peer on the vg200. Which after thinking about it makes sense.

Maybe this will help someone else.
