Hello, Can Cisco Call Manager and associated voicemail connect to and be addressed by legacy Avaya Interchange Servers.
I have a number of VM servers using Octel and Definity Audix communicating via Interchange and am considering adding a Cisco CallManager into the network. Suggestions would be welcome
regards
Andy

Are you wanting to use Octel as the VM for CallManager / IP Phone users? That should work fine provided the VM system has SMDI (Simple Message Desk) capabilities, which the CallManager supports.
If you're talking about having CallManager and its own VM (such as Cisco Unity) and having that system network with the legacy VM systems, then for the example of Unity, you will have to wait for Unity 3.0 which will support basic VM networking through the AMIS standard.
If I have misunderstood please clarify. Thanks.

No you understood perfectly, many thanks.
To be honest I was considering using Unity I had not considered using an Octel box linked to the Callmanager.
