AXL Perfmon query does not return expected results for Processor

I am attempting to query the CPU utilization for a Unity Connection 2.1.2 server using the PerfmonCollectCounterData operation. The query for Processor goes fine and I get data back all with a CStatus of 1 but the results are 0 for everything. I can query other counters fine and I get good results for Memory, System, Network Interface, etc. I am also seeing the same thing with bad data for Processor on a Call Manager 6 server. Anyone have any ideas on how to get good data? Do I have something wrong in my query?

Here is my query:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>

<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"

xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"

xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">

<soap:Body soap:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">

<q1:PerfmonCollectCounterData xmlns:q1="http://schemas.cisco.com/ast/soap/">

<Host xsi:type="xsd:string">unity2</Host>

<Object xsi:type="ns1:CounterNameType">Processor</Object>

</q1:PerfmonCollectCounterData>

</soap:Body>

</soap:Envelope>

And here are some formatted results for it:

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

| Value | CStatus | Name |

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(0)\\% CPU Time |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(0)\\IOwait Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(0)\\Idle Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(0)\\Irq Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(0)\\Nice Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(0)\\Softirq Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(0)\\System Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(0)\\User Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(_Total)\\% CPU Time |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(_Total)\\IOwait Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(_Total)\\Idle Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(_Total)\\Irq Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(_Total)\\Nice Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(_Total)\\Softirq Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(_Total)\\System Percentage |

| 0 | 1 | \\\\unity2\\Processor(_Total)\\User Percentage |

Thank You,

Michael

Re: AXL Perfmon query does not return expected results for Proce

Sorry the table didn't turn out so well. The forum didn't seem to preserve my spacing. That and no fixed width font :(.

AXL Perfmon query does not return expected results for Processor

Hello,

Did you ever figure out the solution to this issue? I am noticing the same problem against a CUCM 7.x instance and came accross your post. Any details you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Regards - Rajib
