Backing Up Unity with Failover.

What is the supported way of backing up Unity with failover configured. I am a little confused with the statment in the Cisco documentation

"Note that Backup Exec is not supported for backing up Cisco Unity servers when failover is configured"

Should I be backing up the Primary Unity or the Failover box.

Re: Backing Up Unity with Failover.

Hi Adam,

The information you're after is in "White Paper: Backing Up and Restoring a Cisco Unity System." See http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/prod_technical_reference09186a00800f8da6.html#1113105. The short story is that you need to use the Disaster Recovery Tool. In the DiRT help, see the "Backing up and Restoring Systems Configured For Fail Over" section.
