Bad Voice quality using Exs switch & as5300

I using as5300 connect with my Exs switch, the call is sending from the Exs to my as5300 and terminate by another as5300. However, the voice quality is very bad. I get a noise background sound and echo during making a call. I have upgraded the DSPM vcware to 7.23 and IOS to 12.1.7 for my as5300. Beside, I have fine tune all the voice port for echo-cancel coverage. My Exs switch is using A-law for call sending. I using GB for my cptone. Pls. advise!

This is something you’ll want to call Cisco on. In order to troubleshoot this you’d need to see your debugs and configs.

Hi,

Please check the codec used and try cptone to SG. My PBX also using the A-law and the cptone setting is working fine in my site.
