bandwidth

My LAN functions by default codec G711 for my WAN I use the codec G729 to limit the consumption of the bandwidth my problem that I can receive and answer to a call incoming to WAN however when I transfer the call has another IP phone (Cisco 7960) in the LAN I lose my communication.

Please can you clarify to me why I lose my communication during transfer and how to cure that.

Re: bandwidth

Its seems to me that you loose communication because of

a codec miss match. Check to see what region the second IP-phone is and what codec its set to use.

If wan side is negotiating with g729 and the second ip phone as a region set to use only g711 for all calls then there would be

no voice.

Make sure the region setting for the LAN IP phones are identical.
