Call Manager 4.1.3(sr1) - I have noticed that my TAR file size keeps growing. I am up to about 1.2 GB. I am backing up my CDR data and the auto purge is set for 2 days. When I look at the table data it seems the purge is working. When I turn off the option to backup CDR my file my size reduces to 200 meg or so. Any adice would be appreciated.

CDR data size increase with the number of calls and other activities.

purging the data may cause the transaction log to grow as well. That is probably why the purge is creating a large database. checkout the size of your cdr_log.ldf file. See if that is growing.

Hi,
The 2nd backup should be smaller I guess, the logfile is truncated after the backup, so could be big after the 1st backup after you have purged.
